Position Summary
The Cabin Steward ensures the cleanliness of all guest cabins in assigned section, as well as the corridors and surrounding areas, in accordance with company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
- Perform daily cleaning and servicing of guest cabins, including turndown service and embarkation setup.
- Deliver professional and courteous service in accordance with company standards.
- Restock cabin amenities as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas as instructed by the supervisor.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of linen, uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of daily programs and guest itineraries.
- Perform daily laundry duties, including washing and ironing according to instructions.
- Handle guest and crew laundry following company standards.
- Welcome and greet guests professionally during embarkation days.
- Support special events with additional housekeeping duties as required.
- Report guest complaints promptly to the supervisor.
- Notify the supervisor of any breakage or damage of equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in both front and back-of-house areas according to sanitary regulations.
- Ensure correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals.

- Attend all meetings, training activities or classes related to assigned position as required.

Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and crew members.
- Always follow proper procedures and instructions to prevent damage of any kind of ship or company property.
- Know and comply with the European sanitation program and regulations pertaining to his/her working area.
- Participate in safety drills as required.
- Participate in safety training as required.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards immediately.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly inventories and other administrative tasks as instructed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the ship.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including luggage handling, loading, and garbage off-loading.

Required
Required
- Experience in Housekeeping Department.
- Organized, disciplined, reliable and a team player.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Comfortable in a multicultural work environment.
- Attentive to guest needs and detail-oriented.
Preferred
- Knowledge of additional language, preferably German.
