Position Summary
Waiter/ess is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in dining rooms, bars, lounges and sundeck.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
- Deliver professional, courteous, and attentive service at designated workstations in accordance with company standards.
- Daily greeting guests, taking orders, serving meals and drinks, recommending menu items.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings to provide accurate guidance and recommendations to guests.
- Serve food and beverages following established company procedures, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Report guest complaints promptly to supervisors and assist in resolving issues efficiently.
- Assist with inventories and collaborate with other ship departments to ensure a smooth dining experience for passengers.
- Notify supervisors of any equipment or machinery damage and maintain accurate records.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, in compliance with HACCP regulations.
- Ensure proper and safe handling of all equipment and machinery.
Training & Development
- Attend all meetings, training activities or classes related to assigned position as required.
Financial
- Focus on upselling and beverage presentation.
- Take responsability with beverage wastage.
Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and crew members.
- Always follow proper procedures and instructions to prevent damage of any kind of ship or company property.
- Know and comply with the European sanitation program and regulations pertaining to his/her working area.
- Participate in safety drills as required.
- Participate in safety training as required.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards immediately.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly inventories and other administrative tasks as instructed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the ship.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including luggage handling, loading, and garbage off-loading.
- As assigned and instructed by supervisor.

Required
Required
- Experience in the same role.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Organized, disciplined, and dependable.
- Able to perform well under pressure and maintain composure in busy environments.
- Comfortable working in multicultural teams.
- Outgoing and personable, with strong guest service orientation.
Preferred
- Knowledge of additional language, preferably German.
