Position Summary
The Night Auditor serves as the primary point of contact for guests and crew during the night, managing the front desk, handling possible financial transactions, and ensuring the ship’s operations and safety procedures are followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
- Oversee all areas onboard during the night hours.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally, notifying supervisor or Hotel Manager only in emergency cases during the night.
- Conduct hourly safety rounds between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Operate and monitor activated alarm systems.
- Verify presence of all guests and crew during night departures.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the vessel.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, print accounts, and perform daily audits.
- Collect breakfast cards from guest rooms and deliver to the galley.
- Provide wake-up service for guests as required.
- Refill boutique displays when needed.
- Prepare cabin key cards for upcoming cruises.
- Assist with preparations for early breakfast if applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness in front and back office areas, have public area clean and organized before guests wake up.
- Place updated safety role and in-port manning lists in designated areas.
- Check coffee machine during the night, making sure it is clean and refilled for the morning.
Training & Development
- Attend all meetings, training activities or classes related to assigned position as required.
Financial
- Promote Shop items to the guests.
- Handle guests accounts with outmost care.
Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and crew members.
- Always follow proper procedures and instructions to prevent damage of any kind of ship or company property.
- Know and comply with the European sanitation program and regulations pertaining to his/her working area.
- Participate in safety drills as required.
- Participate in safety training as required.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards immediately.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly inventories and other administrative tasks as instructed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the ship.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including luggage handling, loading, and garbage off-loading.

Qualifications
Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability
Required
Required
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Good computer skills, including MS Office.
- Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
- Organized, disciplined, and dependable.
Preferred
- Knowledge of additional language, preferably German.
